Current Practice

My current body of work challenges the innate fear of death by questioning the intersections of the soul, body, and secular world. More specifically, the balancing act of treating each of these with the respect they deserve. Featuring a recurring bird character, the bird mirrors the fragility of someone navigating how to properly care for those around them without becoming a detriment to one’s self. Escalated by allusions to the grandeur and drama of Roman Catholic motifs, these prints invite viewers into a place of sacred self-reflection.
